Using Fan and Louver Settings
Set the fan speed to AUTO for the best temperature consistency — the unit adjusts fan speed based on the difference between room temperature and setpoint. Use horizontal louver swing to circulate air across the room. In winter, direct the airflow downward (heat rises). In summer, direct airflow upward (cool air falls).
Improving Room Circulation
Use a ceiling fan in the same room to mix the air — set to clockwise (winter) at low speed. Keep interior doors open to allow airflow between rooms. If the indoor unit is in a central location, use the swing function to distribute air evenly. For long, narrow rooms, consider two smaller units instead of one large unit.
When One Unit Is Not Enough
If you have cold spots in the room: the unit may be undersized, the indoor unit may be poorly positioned (blocked by furniture or in a corner), or the room may have high heat loss (poor insulation, large windows). A secondary unit or supplemental heating may be needed for problem areas.
